Simply graduating from high school and “winging it” is not a good
option for students. As a matter of fact, “winging it” will surely end
disastrously for young individuals and in the result feed into the already high
turnover statistics of post graduate workforce entry and exit statistics. This
is why we have considered all types of learners and have made programming simplified.
Navigating a world that an individual is not prepared to do so is no laughing
matter. That is why we believe making programming relative and engaging, with
simulation activities is the path forward. Our program is designed to take every effort
in making participants interactions as true-to-life as possible, so that when
participants use our programming, they create a response bank that will help
them navigate their experiences successfully.
The following simulation tools are utilized in our curriculum framework:
1. Employee Applications
The Employment Application Tool is a simulator that allows
students to practice completing an employment application. This tool helps
equip students with the knowledge of what information they will need to have to
complete an application, exposes them to the typical questions employers ask,
and provides an interactive experience in completing an employment application. When students complete
this application, they can save their application as a PDF file or print it and
use it as a resource when they apply for jobs.
2. Applicant Tracking System
The Applicant Tracking Tool serves as a simulator designed
to familiarize students with the digitized landscape of job searches and
talent/skill alignment. Engaging with this technology will provide students
with valuable experience and a better understanding of navigating it. Given
that employers increasingly migrate towards this platform as their primary
gateway to streamline hiring processes, this familiarity becomes an essential
skill.
Through this tool, students will be able to search and
apply to job listings. Once their information is in the network, it will be
analyzed by an algorithm that will provide students with a real-life
application status that will guide the student through the next steps in the
onboarding process, including job interview invitations, job offers, and/or
application rejection. 3. Career Inventories
SimuEmploy offers self-directed career exploration and
interest inventory tools to help students consider and plan career options and
understand their soft skills and how they learn. Being equipped with this
information helps students prepare for successful workforce entry and adulthood
transition. Our inventories are designed to be helpful tools for
students who are exploring the school-to-work transition. Our inventories help students identify their occupational
interests and what they might want to consider that relates most closely to
those attributes.
4. Budget & Finance
The Budgeting and Finance Tool is a simulator that will
help students to weigh income against expenses. This simulator is designed to
provide a realistic view of the entire income vs. expense scenario.
Operating as a single source of truth for planning, when
all projected data is entered by the student, the simulator provides a
projected gross and net pay with itemized tax-provisioned deductions to give
the student a snapshot of how income works.
5. Policies and Documents
The Policy Management Simulator aims to facilitate
students' comprehension of how companies convey information to their workforce
via policies and procedures. The simulator's database offers hands-on
experience, enabling students to explore and access sample policies within a
portal.
By engaging with this simulator, students will observe the
systematic dissemination of information across different levels of
authorization to employees. This process works towards ensuring clarity among
employees and team members regarding their responsibilities and expectations.
6. Performance Management
The Performance Management Simulator immerses students in
the realm of professional development and training within organizational
settings. It guides students through the iterative process of employee and
management dialogues, emphasizing effective performance management
conversations. This simulator is crafted to showcase the dynamics between
employees and management, illuminating the utilization of technologies and
methodologies. Its aim is to illustrate how these tools facilitate the
alignment and contribution of all employees towards the strategic objectives of
the business.
7. Customer Service
The Customer Service Simulator is designed to provide
students experience in providing experience in digitally responding to customer
questions through simulated in-person, phone, email, chat, and social media
interactions culminating in creating archival documentation demonstrating
self-service support.
Students will have hands-on exposure to cutting-edge
emerging technologies, including email-based responses, chat features, and
Voicebox response systems. These simulations aim to train students in
delivering high-quality customer service, equipping them with the tools to
ideate and execute exemplary service practices. Ultimately, the goal is to
elevate customer satisfaction levels and foster increased interaction between
customers and the organization.
8. Enterprise Planning System
The Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) simulator is
designed to provide students with working experience in the type of software
system that helps organizations automate and manage core business processes for
optimal performance.
Students will engage and understand through the ERP
simulator the flow of data between a company’s business processes and
streamlining operations across the organization. The ERP simulator will provide
exposure to students in digital staff meetings, goal assignments and outcomes,
work distribution, reporting, and organization-wide calendar
synchronization.
